Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours Awards for Artists

These are the awards presented every year for outstanding work submitted to the RI annual exhibition.

The Turner Watercolour Award

An award of £2,000 plus medal given equally to members of both the RI and The Royal Watercolour Society.

The Winsor & Newton/RI Award

Winsor & Newton, the leading manufacturer of artists' materials and world famed for their artists' watercolours, present the RI's most prestigious award of £500 for the group of paintings by a member which is judged to be the most outstanding contribution to the exhibition.

The GreatArt Award

Great Art/Gerstaecker UK Ltd, a leading artist's materials manufacturer and major online supplier, present an award to the value of £500 for an artist who is judged to have exhibited exceptional work in the current exhibition.

The Neil Meacher Sketching Prize

An award to go to the member whose submitted sketch book is judged to be the best in the exhibition.

The Debra Manifold Memorial Award

Presented by the Linda Blackstone Gallery, an award for an outstanding watercolour.

The Rowland Hilder Award

Presented by the Lincoln Joyce Gallery. An award of £250 for an outstanding traditional watercolour.

The Donald Blake Award

Presented by the Lincoln Joyce Gallery. An award of £250 for an outstanding innovative watercolour.

The Matt Bruce RI Memorial Prize

An award of £500 for what is considered the most outstanding use of light and colour in a watercolour.

The Frank Herring Easel Award

An easel presented for an outstanding work in the exhibition by Frank Herring & Sons.
